Simple, fast, and reliable microbiological water monitoring.

DetectBio’s first colorimetric test, designed to identify E. coli with high accuracy.

What is AcquaID?

Simple, Portable, and Reliable

AcquaID 1.0 is a colorimetric test developed by DetectBio to detect the presence of Escherichia coli in drinking and recreational water samples.

Using applied biotechnology principles, the system identifies microbiological contamination within just a few hours, with no need for a specialized laboratory.

How It Works

Simple, Portable, and Reliable

Sample Collection

Collect 100 mL of the water sample in a sterile container (sample collection container included).

Preparation

Add the microtube containing the nutrient substrate and shake well. Then, use the syringe to transfer 1 mL of the sample into the microtube containing the test reagent.

Incubation

Keep the container in a shaded location for up to 18 hours. If needed, extend the incubation period to 24 hours to confirm the colorimetric change.

Results

Compare the color of the test sample with the control tube. If there is no color difference, the tested water is free of coliform bacteria.
